About Christopher R. Watson
The first real story I wrote might have been in second grade when, inspired by the Adam West/Burt Ward edition of Batman and my school supplies, I penned the immortal phrase, “Holy erasers, Batman! The Penguin stole the Empire Pencil Box!”
It’s all been downhill since then.
In the years since, I channeled that odd streak of creativity into writing stories for corporate and non-profit organizations, for community groups and charities operating in developing countries, and for and with my daughter (eventually, we’ll finish telling the tales of Fetch and Zoomie, two cats who just might have superpowers).
Along the way, I’ve crewed on tall ships, gone spelunking by candlelight, had buffalo wander through my campsite, and gone diving (at a safe distance) with at least one shark and a bunch of barracuda (I don’t recommend that last one for the faint of heart), hung out with wild ponies, and taught my daughter how to boogie board.
Now, I’ve been working on stories for myself, completed my first real novel, a traditional high fantasy, which I think is the gateway drug for many writers (we shan’t speak of the sci-fi epic I wrote freshman year of college…), and my murder mystery taking place on the gorgeous Maine coast is now represented by Christmas Lake Creative. With that process underway, I’m diving into the sequel to MURDER ME TWICE, and working on some additional short stories that take place in my favorite fictional coastal town, Grace Harbor, Maine, as I explore the lives and adventures of others members of the McClernand family through the years.
And amidst all of this, I am somehow finding time to be the head of global marketing and communications for a tech company, father to a brilliant teenage daughter, husband, and willing thrall to two cats here in our home along the New England coast.
So, let’s put pen to paper and get writing. I hope to hear from you.
